Responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of the Workday solution for Cognizant. Work in partnership with the system integrator (SI) to drive the implementation and be involved in the development of several key project deliverables (e.g., charter, project/staffing plan, issue logs, etc.)
Partner with the SI project manager to resolve issues that stand in the way of project success.
Also be responsible for managing to the agreed-to budget and delivering the project profitably.
Expertise in Workday's Implementation Methodology and leverage it throughout the engagement
Demonstrate competency in the Workday product suite (or similar product) including HCM, Recruiting and workforce planning, Compensation, and Talent Optimization
Provide guidance and mentoring to other resources working on the implementation
Ensure projects are properly planned and staffed
Work with the SI engagement manager to identify/resolve all issues that could impact project scope and/or time frames
Work with Delivery Assurance to ensure compliance with agreed-to checkpoints
Present in partnership with program leaders at Executive Steering Committee meetings
Ensure the Cognizant takes advantage of Workday best practices
Support management in the transition of the customer from implementation to production support
Present leadership with change orders in the event the project calls for tasks that are outside the scope of the SOW
What you need to have:
Workday Project Manager Certified
6+ years of Workday Project / Engagement Management experience
Consulting experience either as an internal consultant or with a professional services organization (Workday implementation partner)
Working knowledge with at least one of the following business areas: HCM, Payroll, Recruiting Benefits, Talent, Financial Management
Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills
Passion for customer service
Previous experience with a major systems integrator and/or an enterprise software company a plus
Successful candidates have a balance of functional (business) and technical experience
Ability to potentially travel up to 30% after Covid (we are all currently remote)
