Workday Global Training Lead - Description of Role

Cognizant is on a multi-year transformation journey to modernize operations and people processes and systems across the company. Trainers are responsible for supporting the successful execution of the Workday training strategy and delivering end-user training to the first wave of operating companies. Our Workday HCM Trainers will develop training content, deliver end user training, create job aids, and support materials in conjunction with our implementation partner Collaborative Solutions. In advance of training delivery, Trainers will support the Cognizant and Collaborative Solutions change management team with training planning and logistics management.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Training Plan and Development

• Work with Collaborative Solutions counterparts to provide clear direction on Cognizant’s training needs and ensure feedback is reflected in the training content


• Develop learning content and solicit feedback from functional leads, operational subject matter experts and change champions


• Review functional design, processes and training strategy in advance of training delivery


• Ensure the training needs of all stakeholder are addressed and make recommendations for learning opportunities

Training Delivery

• Prepare training materials in advance of sessions and plan/book meetings and invites as necessary


• Lead training sessions and provide end users with necessary support throughout training delivery


• Manage and track attendance and follow up with the change management team to communicate details of session attendance and engagement


• Monitor/gauge training effectiveness and work with Collaborative Solutions and Cognizant Change Management team to refine training as necessary

Knowledge And Experience

• Experience in planning, creating, and delivering training content to operational end-users


• In-depth Workday HCM experience


• Understanding of HR and Recruiting business processes


• Proven ability to effectively communicate functional, operational, and technical concepts to a diverse audience


• Ability to organize work into actionable plans, projects and committed time frames


• Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills


• Clear, concise communicator with strong leadership presence – ability to manage communication with key senior stakeholders


• Ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms to all levels of client leadership including C-Suite


• Highly organized, able to adeptly navigate across teams and subject areas and to operate in complex environments
