Job Description:

At Appriss, the Software Engineering Intern is an integral member of our team and will work with within one of our Engineering teams that support our Applications to design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for enhancements and new products. They will also develop software and tools in support of design,infrastructureand technology platforms, including cloud-based components, networking components, database systems, and containerized solutions. This internship will beremote basedwith some potential opportunities to visit or work out of the Louisville, KY headquarters.

Potential Skills to be Learned During Assignment


  • Experience developing web-based applications using Ruby on Rails,Javaor C#.


  • Experience with AWS and Public Cloud Solutions/Services



  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker


  • Experience designing and maintaining relational databases on MySQL, PostgreSQL, or


  • Oracle relational database systems


  • Experience working in an Agile environment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Design,develop,and debug all assigned components.


  • Plan and execute functional tests as required to ensure changes meet customer requirements.


  • Modify applications using appropriate tools, coding standards and best practices.


  • Complete assigned tasks in prescribed times. Report the status of projects and work assignments to project management.



  • Create clear and concise documentation.


  • Proactively learn and utilize new technologies,conceptsand procedures as appropriate to project requirements.


  • Work with team to improve efficiencies,processesand procedures.


  • Be self-motivated with a thirst to work in a dynamic andfast-pacedenvironment leveraging modern technologies.


Minimum Requirements


  • Working towards (in progress) Bachelor's Degree in Computer related field or equivalent experience


  • GPA of 3.0 or above


Qualifications


  • Experiencewith focus on design, coding and testing in an object-orientedenvironment.


  • Experienceinanyindustry leading programming languages


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


  • Ability to think critically and analytically to solveproblems.


  • Knowledge of technical aspects of computer and software engineering


  • Knowledge of various coding technologies such as, but not limited to Python, Java, Ruby, .NET, C# and more.
