Position Objective
The objective of the Solutions Architect, Healthcare Vertical (SA) is to develop technology solutions and strategies for Healthcare practice clients in acute, ambulatory & extended care settings. Ensure the growth of sales by facilitating the sale of opportunities, ensuring project services through accurate proposal development and pre-sales technical design. The SA will also help grow and expand the breadth and depth of solutions delivered to Healthcare clients, will assist with technical training in the U.S. and assist with Healthcare practice escalations.
The SA is a lead technical consultant for the Healthcare vertical on a national level and acts as the subject matter expert on behalf of clients and Field Engineering across the country.
Essential Job Functions
Provide sales support (business technology strategy and solutions) for Healthcare focused solutions and services from Managed IT, Cloud, Compliance and Security, Value Based Care, Revenue Cycle Management, EHR Implementation, Interoperability and Workflow solutions, procurement and project opportunities
Uncover and understand challenging business problems and provide effective technical solutions to solve them
Design and implement successful, high value technology solutions
Participate in assessments and Technology Business Plans for Healthcare-focused organizations
Provide technology updates to the Healthcare practice and uncover technical trends in the Healthcare industry
Function as an expert resource for escalation of technical sales and select service issues
Assist in measuring, monitoring & continually improving technical Healthcare practice pre-sales processes, procedures & best practices, including client IT strategy process (TBP)
Aid the Practice Director in recommending priorities for the Healthcare help desk and its technology training programs
Subject matter expert in healthcare applications, technology trends, other factors affecting healthcare clients (regulatory, compliance, value based care, revenue cycle management, interoperability etc.)
Partner with Service Delivery Leadership to evolve and optimize delivery model and ensure proper staffing & skills
Ability to assess technical issues and develop a remediation plan for the local resources
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
Working knowledge of Systems and workflow process in healthcare settings
Experience working with HL7/FHIR interfaces is a plus
Proven experience working with Healthcare-focused customers
Successful experience designing and installing networks in multiple Healthcare-focused, small/mid-size/enterprise-class environments for multiple clients
Demonstrated experience implementing IT projects in Healthcare settings
Possess strong consulting skills including an ability to provide strategic recommendations that provide business value to clients
Able to explain and guide clients through technical solutions
Ability to develop professional services proposals
Advanced level design experience around network design including LAN/WAN, messaging technologies, database technologies, cloud technology, security solutions, Healthcare document management systems, etc.
Advanced knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity and risk management solutions
Large, complex project management experience a plus
Proven dedication to enabling quality through continuous improvement
Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications
BA or BS degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience working within the Healthcare vertical
5+ years of experience in working with implementation and support of any EHR Systems ( EPIC, Cerner, eClinicalworks, Nextgen) is required
