The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for selling SYSTECH products and services to customers, business partners, and/or target accounts in his/her territory. The RSM is responsible for all aspect of the sales cycle including: prospecting, new business development, customer base expansion, opportunity management, proposal generation, and closing business according to territory plans. She/he must demonstrate excellent account and territory management skills to meet/exceed sales goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Promote and sell the value of SYSTECH products and services according to the company's policy and directions

  • Focus on opportunities that are consistent with the company's strategies and capabilities

  • Understand customer's application, overall objectives and requirements to propose the best solution for the application - obtain samples for evaluation

  • Develop strong customer relationships to ensure maximum satisfaction, repeat business, and increased market share

  • Develop, manage, and maintain industry contacts with decision makers and influencers.

  • Propose and implement strategies to expand revenue and accounts within an assigned territory and/or target accounts.

  • Facilitate the resolution of customer issues and complaints

  • Prospect, qualify, and develop existing and new customers to keep pipeline of opportunities evergreen and to increase revenue

  • Collect information on customer's unfulfilled needs and potential product/services improvements

  • Prepare and conduct sales/product presentations and demonstrations

  • Establish forecasts and maintain current customer and prospective account records and provide reports on accounts and sales activity as directed by management through company CRM system

  • Manage expenses according to the company policy

  • Participates in trade shows by representing the organization and sharing information on products and services.

  • Work with the Management Team to define strategic market segments

  • Answer product-related questions from corporate marketing and external business partner organizations.

  • Keep current on company's product and solutions, and industry trends.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • A desire to be part of a dynamic, growing company, defining a new market segment

  • Background in the pharmaceutical packaging marketplace and/or regulated environment requiring serialization: customer requirements, applications, regulations, packaging plant locations, decision makers, and key players

  • Experience selling automation products, machine vision, and/or capital equipment sales (hardware/software) considered a plus, especially in pharmaceutical industry

  • Success in consultative selling of solutions combining products and services

  • Consistent track record of reaching/exceeded sales targets Prior success in developing new territories

  • Ability to sell at all decision-making levels in an organization ranging from mid-size to Fortune 100 companies

  • Ability to work in an unstructured problem-solving environment and synthesize strategy, plans, and solutions in an extremely fast-paced environment.

  • Able to work independently yet collaborate cross-functionally in a team environment

  • Must be comfortable in a highly dynamic environment, working with a variety of disciplines. Superior communicator who is a strong, out-going leader and builder of consensus

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and negotiating skills.

  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem solving skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


  • BS in Business Management, Engineering, Software, Computer Science or Marketing.

  • 5-10 years of successful direct sales experience of technical products in B2B environment

  • Self-directed individual capable of proactive leadership with supervision from a remote location Experience selling technology products; selling to pharmaceutical industry and/or packaging equipment sales considered a plus

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Must have working knowledge and experience using e-mail, Internet, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
