Position Summary:

Responsible for leading the commercial activity at an Oilseed Processing facility. Ultimately this role is responsible for the execution of commercial business plan and the successful leadership commercial activities while collaborating with other functional groups to enhance safety, productivity, communication and profitability.

Core Functions:

• Manage and direct all functions of commercial activities to ensure employees are engaged and adhere to safe and productive work practices


• Ultimately responsible for commercial financial results; ensuring the accurate reporting of weekly and monthly financial projections


• Responsible foremployee supervision with overarching emphasis on providing employee training and development


• Responsible for fostering and growing customer relationships along the value chain; from producer to end user


• Oversee and maximize complex logistical functions and capabilities


• Identify and execute on trading and arbitrage opportunities that exist in marketplace for associated products


• Accountable for providing continual input for the development and execution of commercial business plan


• Oversee hedging and risk management for the local position


• Maintain constant dialogue with internal commercial group and management utilizing informal and formal verbal and electronic means to ensure that information flow is communicated in real time


• Accountable for fostering, enhancing and maintaining collaborative relationships with commercial groups located at facility, other locations, division and corporate as well as operations managers and other functional areas such as accounting and finance to advance BNA's profitability


• Ensure that commercial team is focused on maximizing BNA's regional market share in a coordinated effort with other functional commercial teams


• Effectively manage Oilseed Value Chain's commercial strategies to continually build Bunge's brand image and ensure that brand is aligned with other commercial activities and aligned with BNA's overarching commercial strategies

Skill/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Business, Business, Finance or an applicable related field is required; or equivalent experience will be considered in-lieu of Bachelor's Degree


• Seven to ten years in key and diverse trading roles preferred; experienced traders with 5 years' experience considered


• Demonstrated leadership in communication and collaboration across diverse functional groups to achieve results while maintaining effective relationships is required


• Extensive knowledge of hedging on the Chicago Board of Trade, grain contracting, and crush margin projections is required


• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, changing environment is critical


• Exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills with ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the organizations is required


• Proven skills related to leadership, development and mentoring of employees is required


• Excellent customer service and negotiation skills is required


• Proficiency with applicable computer software packages, including Microsoft Word and Excel is required
