Material Handler/Forklift Driver at AMS Fulfillment in New Holland, Pennsylvania

Shift

Hours:   5 am to 1:30 pm and/or 8:30 am to 5 pm

Primary Function:

Performs duties related to the receiving and storage of inventory in the warehouse.  Follows written and verbal instructions including prescribed standard operating procedures (SOP’s).

 Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate manual and power driven material handling equipment

• Stock shelves and rearrange inventory as required


• Accurately pick inventory from a BOM and document inventory movement


• Cycle count inventory as determined by management


• Use computer terminal for inventory look-up and other information


• Apply labels, tags and packing slips for inventory shipments


• Recommend changes or methods to increase efficiency and reduce costs


• Prepare and or maintain required logs, reports and records as assigned by management


• Report operational and or personnel difficulties to supervisor


• Communicate and observe all company rules including housekeeping and safety requirements


• Perform other duties as assigned or necessitated by business conditions and changes


• Be flexible with start and end time of shifts and be available for overtime or weekend hours when required.

• Previous experience in inventory control, receiving and warehousing


• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds


• Reliable transportation and excellent attendance record


• Certified and Current Forklift License


• Proficient math skills


• 
  Be organized, detail oriented, and quality conscious
   
  Ability to drive a Swing Reach is a plus!
  

Work Environment

This position works in a warehouse setting. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as carts, hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand (sometimes in one space for an entire shift); walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is required to have the ability to stand for an 8-hour shift. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must be capable of lifting or moving objects up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
