Summary: The School Operations Specialist performs and/or supports various aspects of school operations with an emphasis on compliance activities at all levels, internal and external to the Stride organization.

  • Develops and manages relationships with educational systems vendors, the districts, state and other educational stakeholders;

  • Oversees and helps maintain student records and data; creates/implements/documents processes that ensure student data validity in Stride and 3rd party databases;

  • Works with office and administrative staff to ensure the school is in compliance with and meets all audit requirements;

  • Acts as point of contact and manages reporting issues including all local, state and federal reporting requirements;

  • Assists with communication between the Company and districts related to student enrollments and withdrawals;

  • Supports data and logistics of major school events, such as Enrollment, Semester End Transition, Year End Transition, and State Testing.

  • Assists with a wide variety of teacher and personnel support issues.

  • Reviews and processes accounts payable and receivable records; Follows established District procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, storage and disposal of records

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.


Minimum Required Qualifications 



  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Three (3) years of relevant work experience OR

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates and Licenses: None required.


OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 



  • Great organizational and time management skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong technology skills

  • Experience using search engines (internet) for research projects

  • Experience using a student information system and/or other type of database

  • Proficient in MS Excel, MSWord, and Outlook

  • Ability to pass required background check

DESIRED Qualifications:  



  • Formal project management experience in fast-paced or start up environment.

  • Knowledge of California’s regulations that impact Charter Schools

Work EnvironmentThis is an office-based position.  


Residency: You must live in California and be able to commute M-F to the Simi Valley office
