Job Description:

Manager of Tax Operations, a team that oversees annual tax form filing and production for over 4 million customers in the US Business each year, performs tax form and account maintenance, answers customer tax inquiries and coordinates changes due to tax regulatory alerts across the US Businesses.

Responsible for strategic design and execution of multiple key organizational priorities aligned to process optimization for efficient and accurate IRS form filings, problem resolution of tax related issues in partnership with business partners and client facing interactions for complex tax inquires.

Responsible to coach and develop staff to meet and exceed organizational objectives such as service level agreements, quality and compliance as well as develop career pathing and career development opportunities through relationship building and one on one sessions. Create an open atmosphere fostering idea generation, diversity of thought and a positive work environment. Identify and implement process improvements to address trends, create efficiencies and elevate the service model.

Responsibilities include:


  • Plan, organize, and manage an operation including vendor oversight, accountable for accuracy and timeliness of internal processes and the resultant IRS-filed tax forms.


  • Monitor key performance indicators for the business and execute tangible plans to improve results, as needed


  • Strong leadership and talent development that delivers results to meet and exceed business goals


  • Promote a change agent culture and drive team to deliver innovative enhancements to process and procedures


  • Approve personnel activities, which may include hiring, training/development, evaluation, managing pay, and corrective counseling/termination proceedings.


  • Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working under tight time constraints.


  • Manage the planning and direction of departmental projects.


  • May include supervision of staff in management roles.


Qualifications:


  • Driven leader with 5 years management experience who is passionate about customers and shaping their experience


  • Monitor key performance indicators for the business and ability to put tangible plans in place to improve results


  • Strong leadership and talent mindset skills with proven success in associate development that delivers results to meet and exceed business goals


  • Promotes a change agent culture and drives their team to deliver innovative enhancements to process and procedures


  • Strong understanding of Operations and Sales process


  • Engaging communicators who enjoy working directly with the customer and a team


  • Intrigued by technology and operating procedures and helps identify opportunities to enhance processes


  • Able to think on your feet and flexible with creating solutions for a variety of personalities 


  • Responsible for personnel activities, which may include hiring, training/development, evaluation, managing pay, and corrective counseling/termination proceedings


  • Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working under tight time constraints
