Overview:

Veeco is looking for a highly motivated Senior Program Managerto ensure the successful development and implementation of new features and capabilities on multiple product lines. This person will lead small Engineering teams to ensure project objectives are met, including technical requirements, budget, and schedule, and they will coordinate interdepartmental activities to ensure smooth delivery, qualification, and release to production. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to drive results within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Manageengineering projects


• Act as a collaborative partner with cross-functional teams to align, improve, and standardize systems and processes


• Interface with product line managers to ensure clear definition of customer requirements


• Develop and document project requirements, deliverables, test parameters, specifications, and timelines


• Estimate resource requirements and development cost


• Create and manage project schedules including resource allocations and cross-team leveling


• Manage the activities of engineers assigned to your projects including mechanical, electrical, optical, and software disciplines for product development


• Identify and assess risks and plan for contingencies


• Coordinate and present design reviews


• Manage the generation of BOMs, drawings, work instructions and other product release documentation


• Coordinate interactions with other departments to ensure smooth product release


• Identify, track, monitor, and communicate project-related issues, scope changes, variances, and contingencies to management

Qualifications:

B.S. degree ina technical discipline preferred(but not required) and aminimumof 8 years of project management experience preferred.An equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered. Semiconductor Equipment experience highly desired.

• Previous large-scale high-tech equipment experience preferred.
