This position will be focusing primarily on our Motive Power applications, which include industrial lift trucks and pallet jacks, rail equipment, mining equipment, and airline ground support equipment. Some of the motive power brands include Hawker, Ironclad, General Battery, and Fiamm. Wherever there is a need for motive power, EnerSys offers the perfect energy solution.


Job Purpose


The Sr. Technical Sales Representativeoversees the direction of Battery, Charger, Data, and accessory solutions with a focus on incremental growth in the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) /Airline Industry in North America. This person will work in unison with our Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Representative to maximize our growth and strengthen the messaging to the end-users, municipalities, and OEMs of Airline Equipment. In addition, this individual will look to add new customers and maximize opportunity by "thinking outside the box." In addition, this person will look to use a similar skillset to penetrate the Mobile Equipment Work Platforms (MEWPS) market for the US. This will include market penetration, new account development, and EnerSys product education with customers; all to promote NexSys product sales. This position is in direct contact with OEMs and end-users as well as corporate marketing and engineering to help support and drive products that are best suited to the success of the customer and EnerSys in the market.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Evaluate motive power applications where EnerSys Solutions can be used as a power alternative.Examples would be Ground Support Equipment (GSE)/Airline related equipment and Mobile Equipment Work Platforms (MEWPS).

  • Attain or exceed assigned sales and profit targets by effectively managingresources and sales channels in the territory.

  • Work with corporate marketing support to ensure areas like Literature and Sales Tools are effective and applicable to meet the needs of the entire sales force.These will be focused on the NexSys products and NexSys chargers that support those products.

  • Work with corporate engineering to design and provide the optimal solution to end-users.

  • Work with corporate production planning to assure inventory levels and correct product inventory is in place to meet short- and long-term sales objectives.

  • Work closely with customers to properly forecast correct product mix by volume for expected quarter and year.

  • Complete and submit sales and marketing reports, sales budgets, and other required materials as may be required by management.

  • Manage pricing in customer accounts.

  • Support existing Ground Support Equipment (GSE) representative as required and assigned.

  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment when dealing with critical matters within thebusiness unit.

  • Follow all company policies and procedures as listed, but not limited to: warranty, safety, environmental, OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000.

  • Minimum of 50% travel out of the home office is expected.


Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:A Bachelor's Degree with at least 5 years of sales experience; or at least 7 years of sales experience with no degree.Able to read and comprehend manuals, procedures, and other written documents written in English.

Language Skills:Excellent communication skills.The ability to speak in public.The ability to communicate with all levels of personnel.

Reasoning Ability: Excellent problem-solving skills.

Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Baan, Salesforce and other company systems.

Other Skills and Abilities:Previous sales and/or supervisory experience required.Ability to work as part of a team. Must be organized, self-starter, and able to multitask.

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Travel to meetings, customer visits, trips to District, Region, or Headquarters meetings.Expectation of travel is 50%.


General Job Requirements



  • This position requires you to drive a company vehicle. Therefore, you must be able to pass the company's driving requirements. Certain vehicles may also require a specific drivers license and have additional driving requirements.

  • Must be able and willing to do overnight travel

  • Must be able and willing to work overtime.

  • This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company/employee to reduce the risk of exposure and help ensure everyones safety.

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds/11.5 kilos on occasions.

  • Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.
