Summary

The New Customer Coordinator supports the SI Sales Team in the rapid expansion of the Sorenson Interpreting business. This position includes contacting individuals provided as leads to Sorenson Interpreting and qualifying them for sales conversations. The primary form of communication is the telephone but also includes various forms of written communication. This individual should be a dynamic communicator with a passion for providing quality services on behalf of deaf and hard of hearing individuals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participate in the new customer acquisition process by progressing leads from points of contact to qualified leads

o Lead qualification process includes conversations with potential customers, promoting Sorenson services and verifying that the individual is the correct POC/buyer

o The communication process may also include working with the internal lead source to clarify information or gather additional information.

o Once a lead is qualified, the agent will provide a formal handoff to the SI Sales team for further negociation

• Maintain effective data organization within CRM


• Accurately document lead status in CRM


• Understand and follow data privacy and security protocols as directed by the company


• Perform market research for discovering POC's and decision makers within organizations as assigned


• Solicit referrals from current and prospective customers


• Support marketing campaigns targeting SI lead sources as directed by the sales management team


• Complete other ad hoc duties as assigned

Qualifications, Education, and/or Experience:

• Personality for effective telephone conversations


• Demonstrated ability for quality writing in English


• General knowledge about American Sign Language and Deaf culture preferred


• Interpreting and captioning Industry knowledge preferred


• Familiarity with the Americans with Disabilities Act preferred


• Working knowledge of relevant computer functions including experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word.


• Experience with CRMs including Microsoft Dynamics preferred.


• Highly organized and disciplined, including ability to prioritize well and maintain high levels of productivity with minimal oversight


• Ability to follow directions and orders in all assignments given, keeping focus on priorities while progressing all tasks to completion


• Experience in sales preferred


• Ability to work in a dispersed team environment with possible work from home or from HQ in Salt Lake Ciy, UT.


• Trustworthy with proprietary company and sensitive customer information, keeping such information in strict confidence


• Continuously improve through feedback to and from the sales management team

Communications/Language Skills:

English: fluency required for both spoken and written

American Sign Language fluency preferred

Work from home or Sorenson HQ in Salt Lake City, UT.

Physical Demands (if applicable):

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while working on a computer and communicatingthrough various telecommunication devices.
