The Business Unit Customer Service Representative coordinates the full range of services for the assigned TTM Business Unit (A&D, C&C, AMII, RF&S), to include sales, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing, in order to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. The position will also mediate, and negotiate any item or activity such as price, delivery, quality, and responsiveness that directly impacts the customer's business with TTM Technologies in a timely and accurate manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Provide excellent communication to and from customers. The position will be the focal point for the customer, interfacing with the appropriate internal departments in order to communicate all customer requirements and respond back to the customer in a timely manner.

  • Respond quickly to requests for quotes, material planning, order entry, engineering holds, order changes, schedule sharing, order status, requests for RMA's, and resolution of shipping and accounting issues.

  • Submit and monitor Requests for Quote to Quoting and Sales Mgt.; gather necessary customer prints and specifications for review. Upon completion, respond to customer with completed quotation with the targeted lead time.

  • Enter orders for Existing Customers as well as setting up new customers. Check for raw material availability and advance order if necessary. Check yields and set up appropriate production lots, work with expedited ship methods as needed to meet committed dock dates, and communicate acknowledgment to customer. Monitor assigned customer's order status for due dates and compare to status and progress of production lots

  • Manage vendor Inventory and Schedule Sharing - Direct Ship and Consignment. Work with Customer's weekly or monthly forecasts to schedule production quantities to meet the customer's min/max inventory requirements. Work with Consignment Customers to assure inventory is pulled and invoiced in contracted time frame.

  • Work closely with internal support departments:

    • Quality Department for appropriate approvals of request for returns and monitor failure analysis;

    • Accounting and Buyers for assigned Customer to resolve any issues with payments, unit price, quantity, EDI issues, etc.

    • Shipping Department to resolve any ship method, quantity, or damaged goods issues.

    • Production Control to obtain expedite status as appropriate

    • Account and Program Managers to compile reports to generate sales forecasting data and sales strategies.

    • Participates with Account and Program Management with customer review meetings.



Essential Knowledge and Skills:


  1. Knowledge of printed Circuit Board manufacturing as well as the competitive market for PCB's highly preferred.

  2. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.

  3. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, verbal, prints or schedule format and respond clearly.

  4. Ability to adapt to and break down customer requests into actions quickly.

  5. Capable of quickly solving practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists.

  6. Ability to manage conflict situations with internal and external customers in order to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction.

  7. Ability to maintain positive interactions with all levels of the customer and TTM employees during stressful and changing situations.

Education and Experience:


  • High School or GED required. Bachelor's Degree in a business related field preferred.

  • Manufacturing production experience, with knowledge of a full production process preferred.

  • Prior customer service experience preferred.

  • Experience in a process improvement team preferred.

  • Printed circuit board manufacturing and / or sales experience preferred.

  • Ability to work long periods of time at a PC.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
