Global Category Manager - Professional Services
Our strategic global procurement organization is leading a transformative sourcing agenda, that delivers increased collaboration, simplicity, agility and superior business outcomes for our Customers.
The Global Professional Services Category Manager has category responsibility of Kimberly-Clark purchases for Global Learning-Development, Global Research-Development, Global-Domestic Relocation Services and North American HR Services with a spend of approximately $150M. This role will report directly to the Global Director Procurement- Professional Services.
The Global Professional Services Category Manager:
Leads, develops, implements and measures regional and global strategies.
Seamlessly partners with the Global HR Category Manager and all other category manager teammates.
Establishes strong relationships with stakeholders but actively engaging them in the procurement process.
Ensures that K-C leverages volume and market position.
Builds strong partnerships with strategic suppliers, ensures performance and compliance with agreed upon KPI’s and deliverables.

Responsibilities:
Setting Category Strategy
Understanding of current category market dynamics and benchmarking.
Supports and leads category strategy development, driven by and focused on business outcomes.
Routine communication and adjustment of category strategy to BU’s and senior management to ensure seamless alignment.
Supports programs and initiatives to reduce complexity and promote standardization of categories and processes.
Alignment
Maintain and up-to-date knowledge of corporate policies and procedures, as well as related governmental laws and regulations to ensure purchasing activities are fully compliant.
Ability to work with complex categories and with multiple stakeholders.
Connects with stakeholders routinely via a robust communication plan.
Collaborate with business units and suppliers to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Experience driving, measuring & monitoring change management.
Leads the development of risk analyses, assessments and mitigation plans for their category.
Provides proactive visibility of risk and opportunities.
Execution
Develops project charters and process, aligns with team on execution plans.
Strong negotiation capabilities including planning, alignment and execution.
Develop pricing agreements and contracts with suppliers, aligned to K-C gold standards.
Procure assigned services that provide the best overall value to K-C.
Supplier Management
Develops strong supplier partnerships, which will bring business opportunities and innovation.
Develop and deploy governance processes for strategic partners in managed categories.
Lead formal supplier performance management reviews, where applicable.
Continuous Improvement
Identify and execute continuous improvement activities. Including procurement processes, communications and the development of negotiation playbooks, contracting guidelines and best practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Procurement or a role responsible for driving value and managing relationships. (3 - 5 years in Professional Services Category preferred, with experience in HR Services preferred but not required)
Experience in stakeholder management.
Self-motivated and assertive with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to influence with and without authority.
Ability to reconcile diverse business strategies and resolve conflicting requirements.
Skilled negotiator; results oriented. History of successfully closing complex deals.
Strong analytic skills.
Skilled in Supplier Relationship Management.
Purchasing system experience (e.g. Ariba, SAP).
