Intern - Quality at Schaeffler Group in Fort Mill, South Carolina

Job Description:

Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking a Quality Intern for our Fort Mill, SC location. This position will support the Quality department as it seeks to exceeding customer requirements and expectations.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Check components for any visual defects, measure and record necessary data on proper Quality Control forms.
• Perform audits of manufacturing assembly and dock areas for conformance to prints and instructions
• Publish reports of audit results
• Follow up on corrective actions from audits
• Measure components to blueprint specifications by using appropriate gauging
• File paperwork and records in the proper location to access for future reference
• Issue work instructions to the shop floor and maintain the documents tracking logs
• Assist other department members on quality projects or tasks

• Basic blueprint reading
• Experience with PCs (spreadsheet, database entry, word processors)
• Good communication skills
• Basic math skills
