Job Description:


  • Coordinate activities within all process areas ensuring product meets all defined scheduling and quality requirements.

  • Work with Operators to organize and maximize inclusion of all raw materials and rework to be utilized in production process.

  • Implement and enforce safety and regulatory programs to ensure long term safe operation of the facility.

  • Lead and supervise all production personnel in functional areas constantly raising the standard of performance. Assist in establishing education and development programs for employees including SOP’s, quality specifications, safety and job expectations.

  • Responsible for communicating production performance and quality requirements on a daily basis.

  • Review the accuracy and timely completion of all shift reports including Inventory levels. Coordinate and review all record keeping with Plant Manager and administrative personnel such as production, quality assurance, inventory control, production planning.

  • Responsible for overseeing all shifts and monitoring performance and production/sanitation activities during those hours on a regular basis.

  • Team with Plant Manager and Corporate personnel with the continual evaluation of production and efficiency records to improve equipment capabilities and outputs.

  • Develop the weekly and/or monthly production schedule and employee staffing in accordance to business needs.

  • Coordinate Trucking Schedules for incoming and outgoing loads as needed.

  • Maintain and improve all plant sanitation programs. Responsible for keeping the plant clean and orderly at all times.

  • Coordinate and schedule equipment repairs with Maintenance department as necessary and coordinate preventative maintenance.


  • Ensure that physical characteristics are monitored hourly. Perform analytical testing on raw materials, in-process samples and finished product ensuring compliance with all quality specifications.


  • Record testing results in a timely manner. Conduct and document all calibrations.

  • Help Drive improvements by assisting in the implementation of efficient test methods, integrate lab functions with production schedules and understand the business to help identify Best Practices to fulfill business needs.

  • Notify the Plant Manager when physical or chemical analysis defines products/ingredients that do not meet specifications.

  • Assist with finished product problems, investigations and customer complaint reviews. Assist as needed with technical service inquires.

  • Assist with GMP and HACCP education of the employees.

  • Perform internal quality control audits as needed or required and assist with customer audit inspections

  • Assist in bringing the Plant into SQF / BRC compliance. Monitor and communicate trends and issues on all finished products.

  • Ensure compliance with all company, state and federal safety and regulatory policies and practices.

  • Assist with period-end and year-end balancing of inventories.

Work Environment - Production, Exposure to manufacturing environment. Require frequent moving and climbing. Frequent exertion of light to moderate physical effort. Exposure to noise, odor, dust and discharge from production process.


Physical Demands - Light Medium Work - Lifting 30 -50 pounds. With frequently lifting and or/carrying of objects weight up to 30 pounds.
