Job Overview:
The overall objective is to promote sales by creating a shopping environment that is: clean, easy to navigate, fully stocked, and employs people willing to help. Also responsible for driving a company van to and from the warehouse to pick up customer orders as needed.
This position will work primarily morning hours Monday - Friday as well as occasionally on Saturday (approximately 20 - 25 hours per week).
Expectations:
1. Knowledge of store operations (policies & procedures)

Keep store shelves stocked and merchandized properly
Familiar with products and location within the store
Drive company van safely to transport product from the warehouse to the Food Market
Keep Food Market clean

2. Provide Legendary Customer Service

Assist customer with any needs

Finding product
Getting special orders
Carrying product to vehicle

Greet customers with a smile
Provide customers with overall great shopping experience

Job Duties;

Strive to make shopping at the Food Market an enjoyable experience for all customers.
Greet customers and help them with questions. Offer suggestions for their needs.
Operate the label machine with expertise and assist others with its use.
Learn about all the products carried at the Food Market as well as the Warehouse and know them well.
Driver company van to pick up customer orders from the warehouse.
Handle customer complaints and problems in a professional and satisfactory manner.
Communicate customer needs and wants to Food Market management.
Make sure all products in the dry, refrigerated, and frozen sections are merchandised well.
Transport orders from the warehouse to the Food Market in a safe, timely manner.
Monitor and evaluate inventory levels of special-order merchandise in the store to accommodate both customer and company needs.
Inform Shift Supervisor when special order merchandise needs to be ordered.
Make sure all backstock and trailer is being worked on a regular basis.
Turn in scheduling request needs to the Assistant Store Manager two weeks prior to needs. (Communicate emergency needs as quickly as possible to facilitate scheduling.)
Responsible for inventory control of products (store requisition and damaged sheets).
Establish a program for removal of obsolete and slow-moving items in the store.
Represent Martin Bros. in a professional manner.
Maintain and organize work area to represent a professional company image.
Read and follow company policy.
Complete any and all duties as assigned by the store management.
Offer suggestions for improving the overall appearance, procedures, etc. of the store.
Train new stockers properly. Be complete in your explanations of how and why things are done.
Interact and cooperate with all Martin Bros. employees.
