Job Overview:

The Delivery Driver will provide professional, friendly delivery service to all Martin Bros. customers. Operating in a safe and controlled manner, while working with customers to deliver and store products as determined by the customer. Follow designed delivery methods using scanning program and issuing credit as deemed necessary. Delivery Drivers are ambassadors of Martin Bros. and are to act accordingly.

Expectations:

Maintain a driving record that is within the limits of Martin Bros. insurance guidelines
Safely operate equipment and obey required laws throughout the route
Represent Martin Bros. in a professional manner to all customers and the public in general
Safely and accurately deliver product to the customer

Job Duties:

Report to work 20 minutes prior to scheduled departure time as shown on schedule
Prepare for the route: collect all necessary documents placed in mailbox for day's work i.e. invoices, messages, log into assigned route and upload assigned trip into assigned handheld computer, collect needed keys for assigned route, place assigned handcart in trailer, and verify trailer to ensure appropriate route loaded
Depart lot at designated route start time
Make on-time and accurate deliveries to all customers, stack and scan products while on delivery cart prior to taking into customer, place products as designated by customer or ensuring product is placed in an appropriate temperature-controlled room, i.e., freezer products in freezer, cooler products in cooler, etc., issue any necessary credits on handheld and notate on invoice for customer and pick up any necessary returns from previous deliveries as directed by handheld
Pick up backhauls as assigned
Verify log as mandated by ELD laws; log out of trip and sign off and place handheld in appropriate charging station
Interact and cooperate with all Martin Bros. employees in a respectful manner; communicate with Transportation Management and/or office personnel to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies as needed
