Job Description:

Job Overview:
The Network & Cloud Engineer is a member of the IT Operations team that focuses on the network equipment and cloud environments. This role works closely with multiple teams to ensure a scalable and reliable network with a focus on transitioning to the cloud where feasible.
Expectations:

Configure cloud environment

Advise and implement cloud environment
Look for relevant opportunities to move services to cloud
Maintain and monitor cloud services
Review logs and errors as needed
Configure and maintain network devices

Reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Develop detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans for work being completed by the development teams to ensure the features are implemented as specified and the overall user experience is at the highest level possible
Complete manual feature, integration, and regression
Be available to assist all other team members with technology, standards adoptions and processes related to quality assurance
Participate in team meetings and encourage all other team members to be active participants in planning, kick off, and retrospective meetings
Monitor and optimize network security

Continuous improvement and monitoring of security
Advise and implement latest technologies in security
Quarterly review of security and security related issues.
Participate as tier 3 in the help desk escalation chain

Provide timely customer service as issues are escalated
Communicate with systems administration to ensure understanding of the root cause of the issue and suggested resolutions
Efficiently identify when to involve other engineers for further investigation when needed

Job Duties:

Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents
Provide timely and meaningful feedback to developers, customers and product
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
Participate in peer review of other analysts test plans
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
Collaborate with teams to clarify requirements and plans for execution
Seek continued education on new testing tools and test strategies
Work with tier 1 support to identify escalated issues and recommend solutions
Follow practices and standards and perform peer code reviews of test cases
Bring ideas and suggestions to the team through sprint planning
Contribute to continuous improvement through sprint retrospective
Assist in resolving tier 2 support issues through reproducing, profiling and log captures
Participate in daily standup meetings and participate in team environment
Complete all assigned tasks within the specifications and timelines provided
Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing tasks
Explore opportunities to add value to the team, organization, and customers
Create opportunities to share knowledge with other members of the team
