This position is within a high volume manufacturing plant and is accountable for providing both technical and project leadership mainly in the areas related to material flow, MPH (material providing and handling), warehouse management, shipping and receiving. Provide recommendations for changes to working methods that will minimize risks, costs, and waste; increase productivity; and improve the quality and consistency of material flow within the facility.

What do you get to do in this position?


  • Define and support the internal flow architecture of materials and components based on principles of the Schneider Performance System including:

    • Warehouse Architecture/Sizing
    • Kanban loops between inventory and workstations
    • Organization for the evacuation of finished products and waste
    • Ensures reliability of warehousing time definition
    • Ensures safety and ergonomic conditions in warehouse and material handling activities
    • Defines and implements the information system management with the ERP system for material flows
    • Leads specification, design, analysis, and development of material related projects

  • Participates in strategic planning as it relates to the materials organization.
  • Acts as a technical consultant on material processes and methods as required by the cross-functional team within the department , including through the support of training activities within the material handling department

This job might be for you if:

- BS Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or other related technical discipline.

- Experience in high speed, high volume manufacturing operations preferred

- Strong working knowledge of PC applications (Windows, Excel, Word, Access, etc.).

- Experience with SAP or similar ERP system preferred

- 2 years minimum Manufacturing Engineering experience in an industrial environment

- Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma knowledge and application - Ability to be self-directed and manage autonomously

- Self motivated and eager to improve surroundings.

- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments.
