Job Summary
The HR Specialist is primarily responsible for providing support to the HR Business Partner team's transactional activities, ensuring a consistent approach to established processes and partnership with the HR Centers of Excellence. This role provides exposure to the HRBP role and how it functions within the broader HR and organizational ecosystem, as well as the opportunity to learn from an experienced group of HRBP professionals. The ideal candidate will have HR foundational knowledge with aspirations to further develop a career in HR.
Responsibilities
Oversee the file management for the enterprise-wide compensation increase process, from collection of requests through processing approved submissions, including:
Consolidating, organizing, and reviewing submissions for accurate and consistent data
Submitting prepared file for executive leadership approval
Obtaining any necessary details for approved increases and sending information to HR Service Center team and/or relevant HR team member for timely processing
May assist with confirming recommended compensation increases align to compensation guidelines and are equitable across a relevant peer group
Partner with HR Data Analyst to audit compensation transaction coding accuracy.
Using available reporting and tools, oversee the position management process, including identifying and updating position numbers for use in new requisitions, and reviewing/updating vacant position data.
Submit employee changes/corrections to the HR Service Center for processing.
Support various aspects of the requisition approval and creation process, including running pending requisition reports, opening new requisitions, and sending requisition creation support materials to hiring managers as needed.
Provide general administrative tracking, reporting, and support for annual people activities (goal setting, year-end reviews, compliance training, engagement/pulse surveys), including:
Obtaining and distributing progress/completion reporting for HRBPs to provide to leaders
Assisting with the preparation of presentation materials
Generating updated leader and/or employee email distribution lists
Assist with the creation and/or editing of organizational charts.
Enter and edit information in the HRBP database.
Recommend and implementenhancements to current processes.
Run a variety of ad-hoc reports, drawing insights and conducting analysis as needed.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor's degree in HR Management or a related field preferred.
2+ years' experience in a corporate environment and/or experience in an HR role preferred.
Proficient in Office 365/Google Docs.
Proficiency with MS Visio preferred.
Experience with PeopleSoft preferred.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle a large of volume of data.
Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities at once and prioritize without jeopardizing deadlines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment, with the ability to change direction quickly and seamlessly.
Process-improvement mindset, with an inclination for identifying more efficient ways of working.
