Myers and Stauffer LC is a certified public accounting and health care reimbursement consulting firm, specializing in audit, accounting, data management and consulting services to government-sponsored health care programs (primarily state Medicaid agencies, and the federal Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services). Myers and Stauffer is seeking a strong writer/editor to join its marketing team and support website content, internal and external communications, trade show exhibits, and proof reading of proposal documents.


Essential Functions:



  • Update website as needed using WordPress site

  • Work with internal teams to maintain regular, planned updates to website to keep content fresh

  • Write 2-3 meaningful articles monthly for internal communications and publication on The Cube, the firm's intranet

  • Be prepared to help draft an editorial calendar, define contacts for articles, reach out and interview contacts, and publish on the site

  • Maintain social media presence by drafting content and managing the calendar, review process, and posting/scheduling software

  • Work with partners and senior leaders to develop blog posts and whitepapers for publishing on the website and LinkedIn (possible other social media sites)

  • Help support the firm's trade show presence (work with booth vendor and show contacts, help pick giveaway items, and prep items for shipping)

  • Work with internal teams and marketing leadership to create email campaigns, including design and analytics

  • Familiarity with email platforms like MailChimp or Constat Contact a plus

  • Provide proof reading and formatting assistance with proposals and client deliverables


Requirements:



  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field strongly preferred

  • 3 years of related experience required, 5 years strongly preferred

  • Strong writer with editing and proofreading abilities

  • Experience with WordPress and Social platforms preferred

  • Familiarity with email platforms like MailChimp or Constant Contact preferred

  • Ability to manage multiple timeframes for various projects and track status for draft, final and approval processes

  • Ability to work with a team and with senior leadership of the firm to create compelling marketing messages

  • Knowledge of various social media platforms

  • Extremely organized and detail oriented

  • Willing to travel up to 10%
