Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting for a Sr. Waste Program Manager in Idaho Falls, ID.

Activities include waste acceptability and evaluation of waste streams to one or more TSDFs, evaluation of shipping configurations and scheduling options, waste transportation requirements, and ability to evaluate and resolve potential non-conformance issues.
Primary responsibilities include development of preferred and alternate disposition paths for all waste streams.
Provide generator support of optimal (least cost and most flexible) and acceptable (compliant) packaging for all waste streams.
Review TSDF requirements and evaluate acceptability of offsite waste disposition at TSDF's.
Provide compliance oversight at waste storage site(s).
Manage site inventory data and controls.
Provide onsite/offsite technical interface between vendors and project personnel.
Manage work sites as the person-in-charge, controlling access and ensuring a safe work environment.
Approve waste disposal requests to ensure waste disposition is acceptable.
Direct in-field corrective actions.
Provide technical assistance and guidance to field personnel.
Manage secondary waste related to transportation activities.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering or related field.
Must have Department of Energy (DOE) and/or Idaho National Laboratory (INL).
10 years of directly related experience actively involved in managing the characterization, profiling, selecting and specifying packaging, planning transportation, and specifying waste treatment and disposal of chemical/hazardous waste, radioactive low-level waste (LLW), mixed LLW (MLLW), TSCA, and industrial waste.
Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
