Job Description:

For over 30 years, New Season Treatment Centers have been a leading national health care service provider of outpatient treatment centers that specialize in providing safe, quality and best in class care for individuals living with Opioid Use Disorder ("OUD").


Operating in over 70 treatment centers in multiple states, our team members are engaged in medication-assisted treatment, counseling, support, and care management of individuals living with OUD. We treat the whole person and, in so doing, address the underlying causes of OUD in an effort to provide a continuum of care that not only addresses treatment needs but supports the patient on their journey to recovery.


Job Summary:


The Controller position is responsible for establishing and maintaining internal controls and overseeing the day-to-day activities of the accounting department, including but not limited to general ledger accounting, treasury, accounts payable, and financial planning and analysis including evaluation of M&A and de novo opportunities.


Essential Functions:



  • Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements.

  • Develop short and long-range strategic plans with senior management.

  • Provide financial leadership in establishing strong relationships with senior management.

  • Perform and provide operational and financial analysis of business performance.

  • Manage financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.

  • Direct and coordinate company financial planning.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, bank and auditors.

  • Oversee daily operations of the accounting department.

  • Ensure compliance with local, state and federal payroll, sales and other tax requirements

  • Maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish departmental goals

  • Ensure internal controls are in place to provide accurate reporting

  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff

  • Manage weekly and monthly cash requirements

  • Work closely with Revenue Cycle Management on revenue and bad debt reporting.



Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervises all accounting staff through an Assistant Controller and a Manager of Operations Finance..



Essential Qualifications:

Education/Licensure/Certification: Bachelor's Degree, or higher. CPA and/or public accounting experience preferred.



Required Knowledge: Requires knowledge of GAAP.



Experience Required: 10+ years progressive professional-level experience in the accounting field. Controller experience and health care experience is strongly preferred. Experience working in a 3rd party (insurance) reimbursement environment. Experience using Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite products as well as Great Plains.



Skill and Ability: Must possess strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Must have strong leadership and project management skills. Must have attention to detail. Ability to multi-task in a complex, fast-paced business; detail-oriented without being a micro-manager. Requires excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, Great Plains, and FRX. Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, discretion and integrity.

Vision: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to observe employees and work on a computer. Clear vision at 20 inches or less and distant vision at 20 feet or more.



Physical Strength: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
