Reporting to the Cost Accounting Controller, the Corporate Inventory Accounting Manager is a key driver in the global accounting close process, without their input and guidance we would not achieve success. Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Partner with operations to ensure accurate and effective inventory controls and accounting processes, systems, and procedures.




• Depth of knowledge regarding the practical application of inventory costing, capitalized variance, and warranty reserves.




• Partner with the accounting team to ensure accurate reporting of Inventory financial statement line items (FSLI) - Finished Goods, WIP, Raw Materials




• Under the guidance of the Corporate Controller, drive the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with our established schedule, and with input from the rest of the Accounting Team.




• Manage and review account reconciliations, journal entries, prepare variance analysis and ensure accounting activities are well supported and documented




• Manage the financial statement close process, including close calendar and checklist, while working with the accounting team to reduce the number of days to close




• Oversee Inventory Accounting policies and procedures to ensure that the correct controls are in place to safeguard company assets




• Responsible for the design and effective operation of internal controls over financial reporting in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley




• Oversee audit processes and proactively communicate with auditors on accounting for complex transactions




• Coordinate audit requests with external auditors, internal auditors, and compliance

Job Requirements

Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:

• 5+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including a mix of public accounting and / or industry backgrounds




• Minimum 2-3+ years of relevant experience with Inventory Accounting at a publicly traded company preferred




• Strong functional knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS and other regulatory requirements, with SEC experience preferred




• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent education requirements




• Professional Credentials: CPA certification preferred
