This position will lead the Intelligent Automation CoE (IA CoE) and report to the Senior Director of Corporate Systems Delivery. As the technical delivery and governance leader for the IA CoE, you will be responsible for leading automation design, solution architecture, and delivery using a collection of methods and tools to document, improve, and monitor business processes. You will be responsible for identifying and continuously improving on automation solutions that will meet the business and functional needs. You will evaluate new AI automation tools and methodologies and optimize existing ones. You will ensure proper implementation and adherence of automation standards using RPA, OCR and other tools. As a leader in the IA CoE, you will help drive the intelligent automation roadmap as well as shape emerging technologies in automation and AI.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Drives Intelligent Automation transformation across multiple business processes.

Provide thought leadership in automation solution architecture, continuously bringing together tools and methods to solve complex business challenge.

Own the operating model for the delivery of high-quality automated processes in line with operational requirements.

Evaluating and validating candidate processes against the business strategy and suitability for automation.

Prioritizing process pipeline to deliver automation in a cost-effective manner and against business requirements.

Lead reviews of Process Automation Design (PAD) documents to ensure efficient cohesive solution design.

Establish reuse, componentization, and other methodologies for efficient effective, forward-thinking solution design and architecture.

Ensure proper scaling of infrastructure and architecture components of RPA product (Blue Prism) and OCR.

Communicate AI product architecture to stakeholders and collaborate with existing domain architects in the formalization and adoption of standards and procedures.

Governance responsibility for ensuring all delivery of solutions follow standards and processes and proper risk mitigation as documented.

Manage 3rd party resources, contractors, and software vendors.

Manage a team of Automation Developers, Process Consultants, 3rd party resources, and software vendors.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field with a minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in Information Technology.

3+ years of demonstrated experience with Automation software architecture and/or RPA technologies such as Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, and UI Path or similar technologies.

5+ years knowledge in solution architecture disciplines and working experience with service-oriented development.

5+ years' experience at expert level in Agile software development life-cycle (SCRUM/Kanban).

3+ years of strong demonstrated leadership, mentorship, and team management capabilities.

Desired Characteristics:

Experience with transforming monolithic applications to (micro) services-based architectures.

Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative management style to include teamwork and team building ability.

Adaptable and highly self-motivated in pursuing intelligent automation and emerging technologies.

Solid experience in presentation and excellent verbal/written communications.

Excellent collaboration skills, ability to achieve results through vendors, and team members, proficient organizational skills, demonstrated passion for execution excellence and agility.

Strong execution ability and a sense of urgency.

Executive presence and ability to simplify complex concepts for consumption by non-technical business partners.

Business acumen in the healthcare payer space is a plus.
