Job Description:

Summary of Responsibility

In keeping with the Mission/Vision/Values of Centerstone, the CT3 grant counselor (Trauma Training and Treatment) provides trauma-informed and/or trauma-focused group and individual counseling, assessment, community support, case coordination and crisis intervention services to promote personal growth in the form of emotional, cognitive, behavioral and/or psychological changes in children ages 2-17 and their families. This includes performing continuing assessment of the client's needs and functioning, maintenance of appropriate documentation and development and implementation of treatment plans consistent with the client's therapeutic needs. The CT3 Counselor consults with the Grant Manager or Trauma Training and Care Coordinator.

MINIMUM CREDENTIALS/REQUIREMENTS

Requires a Master's Degree in a human service-related field or a Bachelor's Degree in a human service-related field with 5 years' experience in a human service-related field. Minimum 50 hours of trauma-related training required. Prior knowledge of trauma-focused evidence-based screening and practices required. TF-CBT training completion and/or certification preferred but not required. Must be willing/able to complete TF-CBT certification within 6 months of hire. Experience working with vulnerable populations in a variety of settings preferred. Knowledge of behavioral health, confidentiality policies and community resources; ability to utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR); Demonstrated capacity to work with interdisciplinary team to communicate effectively; and a valid driver's license and safe driving history. Staff in positions that require use of automated/electronic systems, including automated documentation systems, are required to have computer and keyboarding experience and skills or the ability to develop such skills within required timeframes in order to meet the level of proficiency set by the agency.
