SUMMARY

Responsible for playing an integral role in Alliant's M&A activity by building and maintaining Alliant's Mergers & Acquisitions pipeline through working with agencies potentially for sale as well as partnering with both internal and external resources including, but not limited to Advisors, Alliant Management, Alliant Producers and others.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Directs and implements Alliant's M&A business development efforts by working closely with both internal and external resources;

  • Analyzes business opportunities for their investment potential and suitability for growth while benchmarking against business drivers, trends and metrics, and strategic match;

  • Directly identifies, contacts, and develops relationships for M&A opportunities;

  • Develops and maintains a network of external contacts, industry experts and resources in order to stay on the leading edge of business trends;

  • Works closely with the various internal constituents to move M&A opportunities through the process;

  • Partners with the M&A diligence and integration team to ensure successful transactions;

  • Partners with the President in structuring transactions and deal negotiations prior to presenting proposed Indication of Interest and Letter of Intent;

  • Assist in preparation of monthly(or as requested by Management) M&A Pipeline report

  • Interfaces monthly or as needed with Operating Group heads and Managing Directors regarding M&A opportunities

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Finance or related discipline required; MBA preferred

5-10 years of Business Development/Mergers & Acquisitions experience required

Insurance industry and sales experience preferred

Ability to leverage existing contacts/relationships of agency principal targets

Strong analytical skills; ability to clearly define and frame complex issues

Proficient in Microsoft Office products as well as using technology for email/mail /telemarketing campaigns
