RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. Oversees daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly profit and loss analyses for the trading business and reconciliations between front and back end systems. Apply functional, managerial, and analytical expertise in order to review and oversee resolution. Develops and produces ongoing price verification procedures to ensure appropriate valuation of firm inventory of a highly complex business. Overseeing the prices, model inputs and valuation adjustments and ensuring they are verified and recalibrated to third party consensus services. Product valuation and application of managerial judgement to adopt most prudent approach based on guidance provided by the Firm's policies and procedures. Reviews trading risk and market moves and provides P&L performance commentary, as well as develops procedures and streamlines workflows for the team. Develops and oversees implementation of procedures and streamlining workflows by applying her understanding of process, policies and end to end workflows, combined with her technical skills of writing code. Monitors the team's review process of new trades for appropriate valuation, accounting treatment, and disclosure in the financial statements. Manages the trading desk balance sheet reporting and validation processes, represents the team in new product launches and ensures compliance with applicable regulations. Produces financial statements and/or relevant disclosures for the trading business. Works with the financial reporting team in preparation of key external reports such as earnings release and 10Q/10K disclosures.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a related field. Employer will accept bachelor's degree equivalent based on a degree and/or professional work experience (e.g., 3-year foreign bachelor's degree program + 3 or more years of progressive work experience), where determined to be equivalent to U.S. bachelor's degree by a qualified credential evaluation service, such as the Trustforte Corporation. Requires five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior employment experience must include five (5) years with: Conveying technical concepts across various teams, including Trading Desk, Operations, Technology and internal and external Auditors; Working with and meeting profit and loss disclosure valuation adjustment price verification deadlines; Developing and leveraging automated tools to improve daily work flow and data analysis to improve accuracy; and Monitoring the preparation and review for accurate and fair presentation of various disclosures impacting inventory and debt products for financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements. Prior experience must include three (3) years with: Decomposing complex derivatives flows to develop or enhance reconciliation tools; Understanding of equity exotic derivatives and securitized derivatives; and Identifying unique and new trading activities or inventory movement through in-depth review.
