Overview

LMI is seeking a skilled Change Management Specialist at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Protective Service (FPS) headquarters in Washington, DC. This position will lead a change management workstream on a project to modernize and remediate systems and organizational processes within the government agency.

Responsibilities

As the Change Management Specialist,you will serve the government client by planning and executing wide-ranging organizational improvement and change management efforts related to the successful adoption of new strategic initiatives, related business processes, and systems changes within the government agency. This may include the following activities:

    Integrating change management activities into program and project plans, including the agency's strategic plan.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the progress of activities against defined schedules, milestones, and outcome measures.

  • Analyzing the required change and the organization's environment, and recommending effective change management strategies and methods to encourage change adoption.

  • Analyzing workforce feedback and recommend actions to improve employee experienceAdvising members of the Executive Leadership Team on issues and actions related to implementation of change management activities.

  • Developing, supporting, and executing the actions necessary for leadership to ensure efficient implementation of initiatives across the enterprisePreparing, reviewing, and editing executive correspondence, both internal and external, to ensure agency equities are property addressed.

  • Supporting other tasks efforts, as tasked, to mature business processes and increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree, preferably in a discipline related to business, organizational effectiveness, or organizational systems/processes is required. Masters degree in similar discipline is preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional or relevant experience, including experience with employee engagement efforts as well as change management initiatives.

  • Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data and prepare executive level summaries.

  • Experience planning and managing change-oriented projects and assessing their performance against objectives and milestones.

  • Experience designing and delivering communications to diverse and dispersed stakeholders, through varied communication media/channels/formats.

  • Strong, demonstrated problem solving experience and communication skills.

  • Experience managing teams, projects, and tasks.

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to get DHS public trust security clearance.

Desired Qualifications:


  • Experience managing complex change efforts in large federal government organizations.

  • Existing DHS public trust security clearance or higher.
