Job Description




The Naval Nuclear Laboratoryis seeking an experienced Affirmative Action/Equal Employment professional who is detailed oriented and passionate about Human Resources and Affirmative Action and Equal Employment initiatives. This individual will work as part of the Human Resources Talent Acquisition team to establish a strategic approach to achieve equal employment opportunity, by developing the plans and priorities that complement the corporate strategic plan.

The selected applicant will be responsible for Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity Programs and will develop, analyze and provide effective follow-up management of AAP/EEO compliance related reports and programs. The selected applicant will team with the existing EEO/AAP professional as well as the company's Diversity and Inclusion lead.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Provideoversight and preparewritten affirmative action plans; and maintaincompliance with all regulatory requirements

  • Gather, analyze, and interpretdata to monitor EEO compliance and, reporting. Data may include recruitment, terminations, promotions, disciplinary actions, compensation, hiring/applicant flow, and other employment activities.

  • Plan, complete, and filerequired EEO and/or affirmative action reports and documentation with government agencies.

  • Assistwith audit preparation for OFCCP compliance reviews.

  • Monitor, auditand provideconsultation for the disability/religious accommodation process and requests.

  • Developand deliver training to human resources management and employees as needed.






Required Skills




Senior:


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of six years relevant experience; or

  • Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of fouryears relevant experience

Principal:


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of nine years relevant experience; or

  • Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of seven years relevant experience

All candidates:


  • Significant experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Access or HRIS reporting.

  • Experience withEEO and AAP oversight and compliance.







Preferred Skills




  • Demonstrated oversight and compliance for multiple affirmation actions plans across various locations ranging from 300 to over 3000 employees.

  • Experience leading Federal or State agency compliance audits.

  • Strong data analysis skills.

  • Ability to demonstrate project management skills, with a focus on executing excellent work.

  • Ability to provide briefings to senior leadership team.

  • Experience in Diversity and Inclusion programs.

  • Experience with STEM related outreach programs, including community and all levels of educational institutions.

  • Experience in training, providing guidance, and education to the workforce related to federal, state, regulations and policies.

  • Experience with applicant tracking systems.

  • Professional certification in area of functional expertise is strongly recommended including HRCI, SHRM, AAED, etc.

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to think analytically and solve problems.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
