Summary
Responsible for supporting the Foreman with trainings and coordinating employees within assigned shift under supervision of the Foreman and Plant Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist Foreman with production goals and expectations
Support Foreman with daily reporting and paperwork as necessary
Monitor production, inventory and quality control standards that are established by management
Coordinate and work with manager and workers for timely production of all jobs, maintenance of normal inventory and development of new products
Help support and encourage positive employee morale
Support Foreman with analyzing work orders to determine material and machine to be used
Participate in the development of work plans
Notify Foreman of defective machinery to determine cause of the malfunction and perform repairs or refers to maintenance crew
Participate in setting up and operating machinery
Supports inspections work in progress and finished product
Recognize and enforce safety regulations
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of equipment
Support Foreman to analyze and resolve work problems
Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis, as needed
Supervisory Responsibilities
Ensure all safety rules are followed and employee follow safety program
Follow up with on training outcomes with new hires and current employees
Supervise employees in department to ensure they meet quality standards
Provide feedback and/or recommendations to Foreman regarding corrective action

Physical Environment
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds (No lifting more than 40 pounds without using a forklift, dolly or other apparatus as permitted)
Endure intermittent climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling
Walking up and down elevated catwalks and stairs and standing for long periods of time
