  • The primary responsibility of the Manager, Rebate Administration is to provide management in the day to day, mentor, train associates as needed and ensure the Rebate Analysts have the tools to excel in their roles. This position will provide support to the Associate Director, Contract Administration in the oversight of the day-to-day activities of the Rebate Processing and Adjudications team. This will include review and approval of rebates in accordance with the Company's designated authority limits and monitoring the effectiveness of internal control procedures, policies and SOP's that govern the processing of all customer claims (such rebates, shelf stocks, admin fees, etc.) for compliance with SOX. This person must possess a strong working knowledge of Generic and Brand pharmaceutical commercial contracting especially in rebate and fee administration, expectation is that this incumbent will become a subject matter expert within our Revitas (Model N) Flex and COGNOS software. This incumbent will manage and coordinate a large part of the efforts to combine the restructuring of the Rebates. They will need to assess the current state of the rebates process in Bridgewater and work to streamline the process as well as work to coordinate what the future state of the rebates processing will look like in coordination with Management (i.e. rebate tracking, A/R, A/P, etc.)

Essential Functions:


  • Provide management in the day to day functions, mentor and train Associates as needed and ensure the Rebate Analysts have the tools to excel in their roles.


  • Deal directly with customers either by telephone or email. Escalate matters as required


  • Ensure Rebate Analyst supports their assigned Sales team with accurate customer metrics


  • Assist in preparing month-end close for commercial rebates and administration fees as needed


  • Calculate and compare customer data for all rebates and administrative fees, understanding variances

Additional Responsibilities:


  • Ability to work closely with Accounts Receivable on resolving variances between the customer claims and Amneal payments.


  • Ability to build a positive rapport amongst staff and other departments


  • Assist with any Business Development efforts or software implementations as needed


  • Maintain a Rebate Tracker(s) and other tools of measurement and proactively provide statistical performance metrics to Senior Management


  • Host regular One-on-One meetings with all direct reports / Host staff meetings to communicate office updates and to use as opportunities to train the rebates team as needed


  • Team management; hold weekly staff meetings and periodic one-on-ones with direct reports. Ensure staff’s goals and performance are aligned with Finance organization goals. Encourage team building and staff training, where appropriate. Complete, rate and discuss Annual Reviews with direct reports in a timely manner.


  • Create and cultivate a positive environment and build positive rapport amongst staff and other departments

Education:


  • Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) In Business, Finance, Accounting or combination of education and equivalent direct work experience. - Required

Experience:


  • 8 years or more in Minimum of 8 years in the pharmaceutical industry with an emphasis on rebate management and sales support.


  • 5 years or more in Prior experience with contract negotiations, rebate processing, and contract maintenance.


  • 5 years or more in Working knowledge of pharmaceutical contracting techniques and processes.


  • 5 years or more in 5+ years management experience managing people or function
