Facilities and Mechanical Maintenance Group Lead - 1st Shift at Overhead Door Corporation in Mount Hope, Ohio

Job Description:

• Serve as the main point of contact for the Maintenance Manager and production teams, on your respective shift.


• Interface with Maintenance Manager, Focus Factory Managers, and Supervisors/Group Leads to solve Facilities and Production issues.


• Prioritize and assign scheduled work orders, and any unscheduled activities, to your team on your respective shift.


• Hold team members accountable for completing assigned work in a timely and professional manner.


• 1st shift group leads for Mechanical/Facilities and Electrical are responsible for their respective skilled trades team, whereas 2nd and 3rd shift group leads are responsible for both the Mechanical and Electrical team members on their respective shifts.


• Work closely with the Maintenance Manger to run a world class Maintenance organization and provide leadership to your respective group.


• Enforce and follow all facility safety rules: Lock out tag out, Confined Space Entry, issuance of burn permits, roof permits, etc.


• All group leads are working group leads, who are not only responsible for the performance of their group/shift, but also responsible for reading, following, and closing out work orders, as well.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience and competence in Electrical and/or Mechanical trades in an industrial environment.


• Ability to operate tools such as drill press, pipe threading machine, power saws, burning and welding equipment, Iron Worker, hydraulic presses, bending rolls, punch presses, shears, and other handheld power tools.


• Group Leads with an Electrical focus must have experience working with voltages up to 480V, obtain ARC flash training, obtain Qualified Electrical Worker training, have extensive experience analyzing and repairing main motor drives, generators, control panels, relays, switchboards, circuit breakers, lighting circuits, resistors, and be well versed with Allen-Bradley controls.


• Group Leads with a Mechanical focus must have an advanced understanding of industrial mechanical equipment and the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of industrial equipment. Core competencies include: the ability weld (Mig, Arc) and fabricate, an understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics, familiarity with hydraulic and mechanical presses, exposure to rollform equipment, and the ability to determine the best manner of making repairs to minimize the interruption of production


• Ability to troubleshoot a variety of technical devices and processes.


• Ability to operate mobile and hoisting equipment.


• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience


• Possess certifications of appropriate regulated trades such as welding, hydraulics, etc.


• Possess valid forklift license.
