Job Description:

Primary Duties:

Provide technical expertise, fundamental research, and NMI/manufacturing support in the areas of:


  • Pre-process

  • Ceramic enamel and silver paste selection

  • Heated grid design

  • Printing

  • Soldering

  • Lamination

Focus on development, manage capability, manufacturing improvement projects


  • Evaluate new technologies

  • Develop new processes and products and assist with implementation into production

  • Provide technical support to the business unit for feasibility, design, and quotation


  • Provide technical assistance to customers in the development of new products and procedures

  • Act as direct contact with key suppliers

  • Participate in Global Manufacturing Excellence team meetings

  • Diagnose and resolve problems and effectively report results

  • Perform required silver and enamel testing

  • Conduct lead-free soldering development as part of a global project

  • Assemble and laminate complex constructions

  • Support TS16949 by managing quality procedures and maintaining equipment calibration

  • Conduct Process Improver training for fabrication and AA manufacturing

  • Support OE manufacturing by traveling to the plants to assist with problem analysis

 Qualifications Required:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering, or related field

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Good analytical problem-solving skills

  • Computer skills, including MS Office.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time.

Qualifications Desired:


  • Experience in process/development engineering

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Understanding of Six Sigma quality improvement, Green Belt certification

  • Knowledge of automotive environment, including PPAP and TS16949.

  • Use of statistical analysis software

  • Basic CAD design knowledge

  • Lamination Experience
