Process Mechanic

YOUR ROLE


  • Supports adherence to the production schedule by performing machine set ups and change overs.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; soliciting information from line operators and other production associates, and listening for problems. Uses precision measuring and testing instruments, gauges, and other hand tools to complete essential functions.
  • Verifies effectiveness of repairs, improvements and ensures product produced meets specification.
  • Performs and documents all preventive maintenance in accordance with manufacturer's operation and maintenance schedule, policy and procedure and facility guidelines. Ensures on time completion.
  • Assists in the development of user instructions and job aids.
  • Works closely with engineering and other functional groups to implement process changes, process qualifications, tests, protocols, validation and other department projects.
  • Conducts root cause evaluations and identifies corrective actions

YOUR SKILLS

  • At least 5 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic (or similar role) in a production environment.
  • Proven TIG Welding skills.
  • Industrial pump experience to include positive displacement and pneumatic.
  • Chemical, Factory, or Refinery background helpful.
  • Experience with instrumentation: Analog and discreet sensing, flow meters, radar, ultrasonic, etc. Henkel is an equal opportunity employer.
