Job Description

The Experience Strategy Lead enhances the consumer experience by leading the strategy and architecture of digital experiences to build capabilities that will positively impact our Consumers and Employees. The Experience Strategy Lead works on initiatives of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial including Consumer (brand) sites and innovative digital products, as well as Enterprise software design experiences and Employee resources (HR Portal, Corporate Communications, etc.).

Responsibilities:

The Experience Strategy Lead drives experience design through research-informed data-driven design across an integrated digital platform that leverages multiple capabilities to deliver a seamless and personalized experience. You will leverage a deep understanding and passion for user needs and design-thinking to lead the future of design in close partnership with product leaders and stakeholders.


  • Be an outstanding storyteller and influential voice amongst business partners, advocating for customer needs and the experiences needed to meet those needs, leading to customer centric product strategies.


  • Lead small team of UX Designers and interface with UX Researchers.


  • Accountable for the UX (and UI) Design priorities.


  • Drive a strategy-driven measurable experience that are impactful for our consumers and employees.


  • Lead and facilitate the design process throughout the product lifecycle.



  • Drive hands-on rapid prototyping and development of design assets needed for product research, user testing and socialization, including but not limited to:



    • Storyboards


    • Customer/User Journeys


    • User flows


    • Research planning and oversight


    • Prototypes


    • Wireframes


    • Visual designs


    • Research insights and research reports




  • Work closely with the internal UX team and/or external agencies to develop and test final production designs.


  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure design requirements are achieved.


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's design degree or equivalent experience.


  • 7+ years of UX Design (User-centered design).


  • Expertise in design systems thinking and strong knowledge of interaction design principles and methodology.


  • Proficiency with Figma, FullStory and UserTesting.com. We leverage Sketch and InVision as well on occasion.


  • Demonstrated success in working on large, complex projects, including service and digital design.


  • Ability to adapt quickly and juggle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.


  • Strong verbal and visual communication skills with the ability to deliver insights in a way that generates empathy and engagement.


  • Exercise independent judgment and decision making on complex challenges and related tasks; work under minimal supervision.


Role Desirables:


  • Experience in leading UX design teams.


  • Experience mentoring junior and external design resources.


  • Portfolio must accompany resume and contain details of project work along with your role in the projects highlighted.
