The Finance team at HPE provides world class decision support driving profitable growth and exceptional shareholder value through our commitment to operational excellence, people development, and innovation. We provide accurate and timely financial information meeting the company’s regulatory and fiduciary responsibilities with unwavering integrity. In the Finance division, our reporting and controlling teams are working on tasks like asset management, financial integration of mergers and acquisitions, as well as USGAAP-reporting. Our objective is to display all business activities in a financially correct and transparent manner.

You will support acquisitions, divestitures and strategic initiatives. You will be responsible for all aspects of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), including strategic evaluation, deal structure, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and integration planning.

Job Responsibilities


  • Partners with senior management to identify existing operational and new business opportunities, including market development, investment prioritization, mergers & acquisitions and other growth strategies.

  • Works with and manages cross-functional project teams.

  • Conducts rigorous, data-driven analyses to diagnose the current state and model future outcomes for business performance.

  • Develops recommendations for senior management based on competitive market, financial, statistical, and economic trend data.

  • Manages corporate development initiatives and participates in communicating the strategy to the client organization.

  • Manages all aspects of financial analysis including development of financial models, target company valuation and acquisition impact analysis.

  • Supports all phases of an M&A transaction including business case development, due diligence and transaction execution.

  • Manages post-acquisition integration activities and investment monitoring

  • Develops relationship with industry stakeholders including venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, and investment bankers to sources acquisition candidates.

Education and Experience


  • Bachelor's degree required, we would like individual pre-MBA.

  • Recent MBA with pre-degree experience would be considered.

  • Top tier graduate in your undergraduate class.

  • 2+ years in Investment Banking required, ideally with one of these companies working in an M&A capacity:

    • JPMorgan Chase

    • Goldman Sachs

    • Bank of America Merrill Lynch

    • Morgan Stanley

    • Citigroup

    • Barclays Investment Bank

    • Credit Suisse

    • Deutsche Bank



Knowledge and Skills


  • Strong financial analysis and valuations skills.

  • Highly proficient with Excel, and PowerPoint applications.

  • Excellent communication (written/verbal) skills, including logically structuring and delivering presentations.

  • High aptitude to learn quickly, assimilate to new teams and projects, and work well under pressure with appropriate attention to detail.

  • Personal interest in technology.

  • Organized, deliberate, and reliable in structuring work, and effective as a problem solver.
