Director of Social Services at Collington in Mitchellville, Maryland

Job Description:

1. Plans and directs operations for Social Services Department in the Health Center, the Clinic and the Resident Center Department for Independent Living in such a way that reflects the mission, goals and strategic objectives of Collington and The Kendal Corporation.

2. Assures Compliance with regulatory requirements, such as all Federal, State and County regulations. HIPAA and OIG regulation, by performing audits on manual and electronic records and documentations.

3. Supports the Health Center and the Community overall to meet financial and operational goals by identifying and ensuring cost effective use of nursing resources, financial and human and justifying opportunities that can benefit Collington overall. Participates in yearly operational and capital budget planning process.

4. Identifies steps to be taken to meet short and long term goals and strategic objectives; coaches and develops staff, and participates actively within the larger Collington and outside community as needed and or assigned.

Experience

Required

• A minimum of (5) years’ experience working in a Health Care setting; Skilled Nursing facility or CCRC in which administrative and supervisory competence has been demonstrated or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Education

Required

• Masters or better in Social Work or related field
