Patient Transporter, PRN at BSA Health System Holdings, LLC in Amarillo, Texas

Job Description:

Patient Services provides transportation via wheelchairs, gurneys, and hospital beds for patients needing to be moved from one location to another within the hospital. They are held accountable for each job assigned which includes response time, duration of the job, and other various duties as assigned. Transporters stay extremely busy with little downtime.

Job Summary:

Transporters are accountable for transporting patients to and from different areas of the hospital using hospital beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs while communicating effectively with the patient and other hospital staff. (No driving involved)

Education/Licenses/Certifications:

• High School Diplmoa or GED preferred

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent customer service skills


• Excellent communication skills and work well with other departments


• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time as well as push and pull 200+ pounds
