Essity Manufacturing Professional Hygiene North America is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer for our manufacturing facility in South Glens Falls, NY.

About the Role

As theElectrical Project Engineer, you will deliver capital projectswhichmeet the technical and business needs of the organization. You will bring leadership and expertise to drive technology improvements within the site.Theposition will support operationsin resolving challenging problems. Additionally, you will champion electrical safety and ensure the integrity of the site'selectrical system.

What You Will Do:


  • Lead electrical projects with excellence,ensuring delivery, budget, and success criteria are achieved;

  • Generate electrical design specifications and budgetary capital estimatesof new equipment;

  • Plan and direct the work performed by electrical contractors;

  • Maintain accuracy of electricaldocumentation;

  • Supportoperationswith troubleshooting production equipment and corrective actions;

  • Identify and recommend electrical training needs for the site;

  • Provide leadership regarding electrical safety;

  • Ownthe power distribution system, including preventive maintenance and power quality;

  • Develop a control system obsolescence strategy and manage its execution.

Who You Are:


  • BS degree in electrical engineering or a relevantfield with equivalent experience;

  • At least five years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, high speed converting preferred;

  • Minimum two years of project management experience;

  • Knowledgeable in power distribution systems, NEC, and NFPA 70e;

  • Experienced with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, Servo Systems, and machine safety. Allen-Bradley, Siemens or Mitsubishi platforms preferred;

  • Experiencedusing AutoCAD or ePLAN;

  • Possess strong troubleshooting ability;

  • Have good facilitation skills and capable of training others;

  • Willing to travel occasionally for vendor design review and machine check-out;

  • Able to work independently andin teams;

  • Experience with machine vision and barcode readers would be a plus.
