SUMMARY

In support of the Human Capital team’s mission and vision, this newly created position will play a dual role in leading full life cycle and early career recruiting efforts as well as supporting annual and day to day talent management initiatives. Our team recruits, develops and rewards the people of Welltower.  We advise, design, and implement strategies, processes and technologies that help our people advance professionally and drive productivity to ensure Welltower continues to achieve superior results.  You’ll need to be passionate about identifying talent, creating inclusive sourcing strategies, developing and retaining people, and creating strong relationships inside and outside of the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruiter – 80%


  • Manage full life cycle recruitment activities (planning thru onboarding) for assigned departments/roles.

  • Source and identify talent through a variety of internal and external channels to drive a funnel of top talent interested in open roles at the Welltower.

  • Communicate with candidates via phone, Zoom, and F2F interviews while representing Welltower as an “Employer of Choice”.

  • Collaborate with hiring managers and key stakeholders to create ideal candidate profiles, job descriptions, and hiring strategies.

  • Manage all activity within the UKG applicant tracking system in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Partner with Total Rewards team to conduct salary research and provide recommendations.

  • Consistently evaluate the interview and assessment process to ensure quality while also optimizing the candidate experience. Research and review potential recruiting tools to drive process improvement and resource optimization.

  • Assist in developing and executing an integrated diversity strategy across all areas of the organization.

  • Leverage data and metrics to inform our approach, communicate priorities and measure progress.

  • Manage career fair planning for assigned universities and departments. Travel to various universities to represent Welltower and recruit future hires.

  • Assist with summer internship program/schedule/activities.

Business Partner – 20%


  • Serves as HC Generalist for key functional groups, managing day to day employee relations inquiries and partnering with other HC Specialists and HC Leadership to resolve, when necessary.

  • Routinely evaluates existing processes and recommends process improvements to drive best-in-class operations. Supports the implementation of best practice HR solutions aligned with business strategy.

  • Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and guidelines and remains informed of industry standards and changes within the areas of expertise.

  • Assists with talent management activities, including performance management, talent review, year-end performance calibration, compensation planning and other initiatives as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Experience:


  • 5+ years of full life-cycle Recruiting and HR Generalist experience in a corporate environment.

  • Demonstrated success in recruiting against key metrics (time to fill, cost per hire) and hiring top talent as evidenced by internal measures of success (retention metrics, hiring manager satisfaction, upward or cross lateral mobility of top talent).

  • Demonstrated experience using applicant tracking systems.

  • Experience with modern sourcing/recruiting methods and proficient with recruiting through external job boards including LinkedIn Recruiter.

  • Experience managing complex employee relations issues and knowledge of employment law.

  • Proficient with Excel and Microsoft Suite

  • Employee must be detail-oriented and have excellent multi-tasking skills

  • Position requires extensive verbal and written communication

Education:


  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field. Graduate degree preferred.

  • Professional designation or certificate in Human Resources Management a plus.
