As a Maintenance Supervisor you’ll be responsible to implement, plan, and coordinate people and/or resources to maintain facility and equipment.  Reporting to the Plant Engineering Manager, this position is located in Shady Grove, Pennsylvania.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Direct maintenance employees across all shifts to assure the facility and equipment are maintained properly.


• Plan, coordinate, and implement facility related engineering projects.  


• Responsible for safety and productivity of direct employees and all contractors/service personnel.         


• Responsible for the department budget and assisting production departments with budgeting for maintenance items.


• Interact with and support manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, purchasing, accounting, production, and safety department initiatives.        


• Enforce company policies and procedures.


• Assist in determining manpower requirements and resolving employee concerns/issues/disciplinary actions.        


• Responsible for negotiating pricing and service levels with outside contractors.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS

• Associate degree with a minimum of 1-year experience in Maintenance supervision or a high school diploma with a minimum of 5 years’ supervisory experience in maintenance/operations in lieu of degree will be considered.  Will consider Group Leader experience.


• Mechanical/electrical aptitude and knowledge required. 


• Must be able to triage; plan, schedule and prioritize – responsible for entire facility, including machinery, buildings, etc.


• Must be able to supervise employees and multiple contracted employees including forklift repair technician, HVAC technician, cleaning staff, General Contractors, etc.  Will be responsible to recommend and adjust the number of personnel needed to accomplish the department objectives under fluctuating business conditions.      


• Must have the ability to interact with all levels of management


• Must be able to multi-task, have good financial acumen, and must have good verbal and communication skills.                                      


• Employee will be working in a manufacturing plant environment. 


• Extended work hours and occasional travel, up to 5% can be expected.
