Job Description:

Offset Strategic Services (OSS) is seeking multiple Software Engineers (Intermediate). If you have extensive Software Engineering experience and are looking for a job that will present new challenges and allow you to work creatively with a remarkable Team of professionals, we want you to be our Software Engineer. Do you have a software engineering background in Radio Frequency (RF) algorithms, avionics and/or guidance for Missiles, Drones, Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in a Prototype Development program?  If so, we would like to learn more about your background and goals.

You will be responsible for HW/SW in the loop development of software solutions, troubleshooting and repairing programs, analyzing data IV&V and reporting to management teams. 

Responsibilities:

• Confers with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces.


• Designs, develops, and modifies software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design.


• Development experience in C & C++


• Strong debugging and analysis skills


• Strong documentation and writing skills


• Experience developing software tests and performing software verification


• Managing project timelines, budgets, and documentation.


• Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in technology, protocols, and best practices


• Participates in team and program planning events to achieve alignment


• Write automated tests


• Designs and develops simulation software as part of an agile team.

Required Qualifications, Certifications, Skills, and Experience:

• Active Secret clearance required


• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Field and 5 years relevant work experience


• Experience with database management software, such as MySQL, Oracle RDBMS, and Microsoft SQL Server


• Ability to communicate effectively with Sr. leadership, customer and user community


• Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
