Mechanics Bank is seeking their next Financial Consultantto sit out of the San Francisco Bay area.
*Can sit in any of our Bay Area Branches
Mechanics Bank offers a variety of services to our clients including Wealth Management Services such as investment advice, income protection through insurance products and related services such as private banking and trust services. The Financial Advisors working in the Mechanics Investment Services area are charged with advising/guiding clients on the investment and management of their assets. We provide a variety of Investment solutions which allows our Financial Advisors to develop strong client relations in their assigned service area. Additionally, by collaborating with other areas of the Bank, our Financial Advisors will have an opportunity to identify existing and prospective clients that will want to take advantage of our full line of services.
Advises clients on investing and managing their assets. Meets the client's needs through the marketing of Mutual Funds, Fixed/Variable Annuities, Life Insurance, Long Term Care Insurance, and Disability Insurance. Develops business in assigned service area. Builds relationships and collaborates with staff in other business units.
What you will be doing:
Advises clients on investing and managing their assets utilizing FDIC solutions, credit solutions, and loan offerings.
Meets the client's needs through the marketing of Mutual Funds, Fixed/Variable Annuities, Life Insurance, Long Term Care Insurance, and Disability Insurance.
Develops business in assigned service area through follow-up of referrals, and sourcing new business in conjunction with other members of Wealth Management.
Builds relationships and collaborates with staff in other business units to promote referrals, develop business, and provide superior client satisfaction.

Conducts all transactions and ongoing services of accounts in full adherence of compliance and regulatory requirements of FINRA, SEC, and FDIC.
Who you are:
Bachelors Degree plus 5+ years of experience outside sales experience required; minimum of 2+ years selling investment products such as annuities, mutual funds, stock and bonds.
Current FINRA license series 7 & 66 California Life and Disability license Clean and current FINRA U-4 are required
Detailed knowledge of various Fee Based Accounts, Mutual Funds, ETFs, Unit Trusts, Fixed/Variable Annuities, Life Insurance, Long Term, Care, and Disability Insurance.
Extensive experience as a financial advisor within a bank or credit union environment.
Experience in Estate Planning and Retirement Planning.
Knowledge of Bank products and services.
Experience in the use of Financial Planning Software.
Knowledge of a wide range of investment products.
Analytical ability to assess and recommend asset allocation based upon client's needs.
Ability to complete comprehensive profiles of clients or client prospects.
Ability to work independently, as well as an effective member of a team.
