Horseshoe Poker Dealer Dealer School:

Starting Date: June 14th 2021

Hours: 8am - Noon and 12:30pm - 4:30pm (Monday - Thursday)

Duration: Eight Week

** CLASS ATTENDANCE DOES NOT GUARANTEE EMPLOYMENT **

• Deals Poker games in accordance with applicable laws and company policies and procedures.
  
  
• Greets guests to Poker to tables, provides information about the game, answers any questions players may have about procedures, and provides instructions to the players as needed.
  
  
• Collects rake at the end of each bet and upon completion of the game, dropping the rake into the table drop box; assures accuracy of the rake count. ensures the integrity of the game, and provides an enjoyable gaming experience.
  
  
• Maintains a working knowledge of company policies, internal controls and applicable laws.
  
  

Proven knowledge and experience in dealing Poker is required.

High School graduate or GED required.

Must be 21 years of age or older. Must be able to obtain a Mississippi Gaming License.

Ability to effectively communicate, read, and understand English.

Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk area.

Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.

Horseshoe Casino's Poker Dealer School will provide up-to-the-minute, relevant instruction on all the latest poker dealing techniques. What students will learn is based on the primary skills needed to be successful as a poker dealer including technical skills as well as what players like to see in the dealers they interact with.With our "hands on" teaching methods, students will have a complete understanding of the rules, techniques, systems, procedures, equipment, and theories of what a successful poker dealer must posses. Over the eight week duration our student's skills will be developed to prepare them for an audition with casino management for opportunities to secure an entry level position as a poker dealer. ***CLASS ATTENDANCE DOES NOT GUARANTEED EMPLOYMENT***
