We have an opportunity for a Automation Manufacturing Engineer to join our Chardon, OH team. You will utilize project management skills to implement new operational processes and equipment and ensures new products are launched in a safe, cost effective manner while providing the best possible service to our customers. This position will drive continuous improvement initiatives in all areas of production and will support lean through kaizen events, lean work cell design, standard product design revisions, and cost improvements projects.

You will:

• Assumes full responsibility for automation equipment projects and CAPEX projects to ensure goals are met on time.


• Develop complete project plans including resources, costs, benefits and schedules.


• Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.


• Understand and apply the necessary programming skills related to various types of equipment.


• Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods.


• Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation (Routers, OMS's, and MI's) for new and existing products in manufacturing.


• Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.

Key Qualifications:

• 3+ years working experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in an automated manufacturing environment.


• Show knowledge of various assembly techniques and devises, previous design experience with PLCs and automation, and knowledge of machine tooling and fixing.


• Have earned a Bachelor's Degree in related Engineering or Technology fields.


• Have lean manufacturing experience.


• Previous Project Management experience as a technical counterpart of a cross functional team.
