Position Description:
Micro-Poise Measurement Systems an AMETEK company is a leading OEM supplier of capital test equipment to the worldwide automotive and tire industries. Micro-Poise is currently seeking a Controller for their Streetsboro, Ohio facility.

The Controller is an essential member of the Micro-Poise team. This position is responsible all financial, reporting and cost accounting operations in the US including budgets, forecasting, monthly closings, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, and overseeing the finance staff and initiatives to assist in driving business results. In addition, this position will partner with AMETEK International locations to ensure US GAAP and SOX compliance for the consolidated Micro-Poise Business Unit is accurate and in compliance.

Key responsibilities and skill sets include the following:

•Be a key business partner to help drive results and lead the day-to-day operations of the cost accounting, general accounting, accounts receivable, and accounts payment functions.

•Responsible for the maintenance of the manufacturing plant’s cost accounting system and cost controls. This involves analyzing sales and cost of sales, product costing, and monthly material usage variances and inventory adjustments.

•Coordinate the annual budgeting process and global consolidation. Monitor and report actual performance versus the budget.

•Manage a well-controlled and global close process to ensure all internal and AMETEK corporate deadlines are met.

•Responsible for maintaining effective internal controls, operating policies, and ensure compliance with AMETEK’s internal control SOX reporting requirements.

•Prepares reports which summarizes actual and forecast business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, earnings and working capital based on past, present and expected operations.

•Effectively and proactively collaborate with various departments to help drive business performance, financial acumen and accountability in leadership and staff.

•Effectively communicate with leadership to provide a transparent perspective on financial performance while providing solutions, as necessary.

•Daily interface with manufacturing personnel and production planners. Drive inventory controls and improvement process projects.

•Management of financial team members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work and appraising performance.

Position Requirements:
Position requirements include:

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or MBA preferred

•7+ years of professional experience in accounting and finance, manufacturing experience preferred

•Proven experience in working with various ERP systems; Fourth Shift or Navision experience is a plus

•Strong technical accounting and analytical skills including cost accounting, general accounting, revenue recognition, forecasting, analysis, and reporting

•Proactive in identifying issues and resolving concerns by implementing process improvements

•Presents ideas and information clearly and succinctly; ability to communicate with all levels within the organization

•Must be a demonstrated change agent, comfortable with continuous improvement and stretch concepts

•Must understand facilitation for improvements to drive teams; able to improve organizational skill level and capabilities

•Demonstrated strong work ethic and unquestionable integrity

•Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
