We are currently hiring an Inn-Mate over at our Dogfish Inn in Lewes, DE!
What You'll Do:
- Checks in/out guests, answers phones, and secures reservations.
- Learn, understand, and utilize Front desk Anywhere reservations platform.
- Point for all guest communication from pre-arrival to post departure.
- Working knowledge of all Inn operational policies and procedures.
- Focus on hospitality and guest experience.
- Secure reservations at all other Dogfish Head sites in Milton.
- Manage all incoming and outgoing mail/package deliveries.
- Assist in weekly and monthly inventory counts.
- Spot cleans rooms if housekeeper has gone home for the evening.
- Acts as concierge with working knowledge of all DFH sites and Lewes
- Supports Housekeeping when possible: stripping linens, stocking rooms, make beds.
- Execute final inspection of rooms.
- Sells merchandise in the cottage area using POS system.
- Assists with minor grounds issues like changing light bulbs, watering plants,etc.
- Rents bikes for current guests, minor bike maintenance (air in tires, oil chains, adjust seats).
- Oversees coffee service and in-room coffee program. Cleaning and prepping.
- Manages fire area -- starts, maintains, and extinguishes fires indoors and out.
- Executes opening and closings SOPs.
- Preform simple bookkeeping activities.
- Valid driver's license/ drive 14 passenger shuttle .
What We're Looking For:
- Regularly required to stand for long periods of time
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Holidays and rotating shifts required.
- Potential for on-call during office closure from 10p-7a
- Frequently handling objects and equipment
Required: 2-3 years of customer service or hospitality experience. Attention to detail, working knowledge of MS Office, ability to give and follow written and verbal instructions, ability to work independently and with others, strong initiative, and desire to grow.
Desired: Experience in Property Management Systems, previous background from extended stay industry, previous background in craft beer and craft spirts, food service background.
