The Senior Manager, Product PR will report to the Director of Communications. This role will be key to driving visibility for Cloudera product and company thought leadership with the media. The successful candidate for this role has solid PR skills with tenacity and strategic thinking being key.

Responsibilities:


  • Help drive a global communications strategy for Cloudera's product and solution innovations and industry thought leadership


  • Build and manage relationships with key media and influencers to support product launches, customer and strategic partnership announcements as well as vertical and go-to-market communications programs


  • Maintain close alignment with external agencies and colleagues in APAC and EMEA to drive strategies and category thought leadership


  • Work cross-functionally with various stakeholder groups, including the Product Marketing, Customer Reference and Industries teams, as well as other organizations to support relevant business initiatives


  • Manage and maintain PR processes, policies, procedures, templates and content review from a corporate communications perspective


  • Develop written materials as appropriate for corporate communications-owned content, i.e. press releases, pitches, etc.


Qualifications and Experience:


  • 8+ years of experience in public relations - in house or at an agency


  • Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns


  • Experience in managing and maintaining media relationships and an understanding of media news cycles


  • Possess an appetite to establish and foster new media relationships with IT trade, vertical and business press


  • Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with management at various levels


  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment; places high value on open communication, authenticity and transparency


  • Outstanding writing and editing skills with close attention to detail


  • Cloud or AI experience a plus
